Three people in the car made it to safety, the vehicle and one person are missing: RCMP.
RCMP say that one person is missing after a vehicle went into the Squamish River, off of Squamish Valley Road at 5 a.m., on Saturday. Cpl. James Grady, spokesperson for the Squamish RCMP, said that four people were in the vehicle when it went into the water, but one person has not yet been found.
RCMP, Squamish Fire Rescue along with Search and Rescue volunteers, all tried to find both the vehicle and missing person, however, as of now, on June 15, have been unable to locate either.Further details may be released at a later time, according to Grady. —Original story, June 15— A vehicle went into the Squamish River off of Squamish Valley Road early Saturday morning, according to BC Emergency Health Services. Two ambulances were dispatched, and paramedics provided medical care to three patients on scene. No patients were transported to the hospital. The spokesperson referred further questions to the RCMP, as did the spokesperson for Squamish Search and Rescue.
