UPDATE: An overhead sign that collapsed on Highway 401 in Whitby, Ont. was caused by a transport truck. Work is underway to repair the damage.
DCN-JOC News Services@BLUEOMEGA73 TWITTER — Traffic was significantly backed up on Highway 401 near Brock Street in Whitby, Ont. Friday morning due to a sign collapse. The OPP stated heavy equipment would likely have to be brought in to help with the cleanup.
The incident occurred on Highway 401 westbound at Brock Street and blocked all lanes in that direction forcing traffic to now exit off Thickson Road.
