Wreaths at the Truro Cenotaph during Remembrance Day. - Chelsey GouldTRURO, N.S. — Truro's Royal Canadian Legion Branch 26 is inviting the public to gather during the day of mourning on Sept. 19 to commemorate the life of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
"This is a solemn occasion on the passing of the Queen,” wrote executive member Chris Donnachie, in an email. “To recognize her life of service to Canada and the Commonwealth as our head of state and recognize King Charles III as our new head of state.”
