Former spokesperson for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy Iuliia Mendel on why the country will fight for its independence.
"The president is trying to do everything to find any solution," Mendel said. "The only thing that we do not know: What is going to stopWorries are growing that Russia will soon gain control of the capital’s airport, which Mendel points out could halt all civilian air travel. "Several airports suffered military weaponry units," she said. "It's very important that there is this fight for an airport not far from Kyiv, because if Russians get this airport, then they can easily collect more of their troops by their planes there."
