Toronto Police have apprehended a suspect in Saskatoon in relation to a 2021 homicide that occurred in Regent Park. Thane Murray, 27, was fatally shot, while two others sustained injuries but survived. Three months after the incident, two individuals were arrested and charged. The latest arrest brings the total number of suspects apprehended to three, with one still at large.
A Toronto man has been arrested in Saskatoon in connection with a 2021 homicide in Regent Park , Toronto police say. Thane Murray, 27, was shot and killed near the intersection of Oak and Sumach streets on September 18, 2021. Two other men were also hit, but survived. At the time, police said they were looking for four suspects in dark clothing and masks who unleashed gunfire in the densely-populated downtown neighbourhood.
Three months later, in December 2021, two 20-year-old men were arrested and charged in connection with the shootings. Police in Saskatoon say a 30-year-old man is in custody while arrangements are made to take him back to Toronto. He's facing charges of murder and two counts of attempted murder
