The Reserve Mines school downed the host New Waterford Celtics 20-12 in the championship game at Greenfield Elementary School last Saturday. Marci MacLellan of Tompkins and Summer Campbell of New Waterford earned the coaches’ awards for the game. Tompkins went undefeated on their way to winning the tournament. They beat the Shipyard Sharks 30-14 as well as the Baddeck Broncos 34-6 and Inverness Ravens 40-8.

Celena Bodhaine of Tompkins was presented with the Mike Kennedy Most Valuable Player Award while Haley Markotjohn of New Waterford was given the Robie Chiasson Referees’ Award.
