At the start of the Timmins council meeting last night , Mayor Michelle Boileau extended condolences to the family and friends of the victims of the Oct. 23 tragedy. She also called on the Ontario government to declare intimate partner violence an epidemic. Late Monday night, there were a series of shootings at two homes in Sault Ste. Marie. We implore the Ontario government to reconsider and recognize the devastating impact of intimate partner violence as epidemic.
