Three wins in a row and an off-day. The Jays must be feeling a little better. Tomorrow is the start of a three-game series with the Pirates. Another sweep would get the Jays back to .500. It was nice to see the bullpen have a good day. And nice to see Springer get a hit and a walk. He has looked better the last couple of days. And Kirk had a couple of hits, as did Bichette. IKF had a hit and a walk and drove in two runs, Yesterday’s Jays of the Day were Trevor Richards and IFK .
Alek Manaoah said that he felt some discomfort in his elbow in his last start but had a bullpen Wednesday with no issues. Last night, he tried to muscle up on his last pitch, trying to get up to his normal velocity, and it felt ‘really pinchy’. They say a doctor examined him after he left the game and felt there was ‘no structural damage’, more of a muscular issue. But he’s getting an MRI today.
