The Thunder Bay Police Service is investigating a homicide on the south side of town. CBC News observed four police cruisers parked outside of McIvor Court on Lincoln Street late Wednesday afternoon. The Thunder Bay Police Service is investigating a homicide on the south side of town.

Officers with the primary response branch were dispatched to the 1100 block of Lincoln Street shortly before 10 p.m. on Tuesday, the TBPS said in a news release issued Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. A man was located with life-threatening injuries and transported to the hospital. He has since been pronounced dead.

A police presence remains in the area, with the major crimes unit and forensic identification unit involved in the ongoing investigation, the TBPS said. CBC News observed four police cruisers with the TBPS parked outside McIvor Court at 1100 Lincoln St. late Wednesday afternoon.
