“Our family is so lucky. We have an incredible support system,” he said. “And not just kind of the immediate family, but our neighbourhood is incredible.” He noted neighbours have followed the girls’ success in various sports as they grew up, and four more family friends came to watch their first ringette game Feb. 19 as P.E.I. opened the competition with a 9-7 win over British Columbia in Montague. Natalie had a goal and Andrea added two assists. The win was only the province’s second ringette victory since 2000, spanning five Games.“The Canada Games are awesome.
