There was the answer: Because T-shirts are knitted on the round, they make circular strips of fabric that are easily woven on the loom.

“Weaving is such an amazing way of doing it because it acknowledges T-shirts as a raw material,” Capone says. “Textile has this unique property that it’s pliable and can have many lives. It can continue to be washed, dyed, torn apart and reconstructed into something new. I don’t believe in textile waste. There’s no need for it to be discarded.
