LEITCHES CREEK, N.S. — The Celtic Colours International Festival's Friends and Family concert was held Thanksgiving Day, Monday, at St. Matthew-Wesley United Church in Leitches Creek.

Among the artists appearing at the event were Maggie MacInnes, centre, of Glasgow, who performed stunning Gaelic songs passed down through generations of her family. On stage with her were are her son Calum Park and musician Anna Massie. About 60 people filled the church for the concert. The 10-day festival dates back to 1997 and includes dozens of cultural events and traditional Celtic, folk and acoustic concerts around Cape Breton.
