Wayne Stewart, the author of "Generations of Texas: Ten Generations of Texas Family History," will speak about his ancestor’s experiences as a Texan fighting in the Union Army on Aug. 3 at the Allen Public Library.In 1861, Texas chose to secede from the United States and join the Confederacy.
