Scores of runners and walkers joined the 42nd annual event held today at Bell Park in Sudbury and in venues all across Canada
The Terry Fox Run returned to Sudbury as a live event Sunday for the first time since 2019. Scores of area residents arrived at Bell Park to register, do warm-up exercises and to join in the running/walking event around the park and nearby streets.
"I honestly cannot express how happy I am today. I am really excited and feeling so positive today," she said. Dutrisac is a big fan of the man whose iconic name became known to almost every school child in the country over the years. His journey -- The Marathon of Hope -- captured the imagination of Canadians everywhere and Terry Fox was quickly recognized for his heroic efforts. Roads and highways became packed with well-wishers who encouraged Fox for his amazing journey.
