The Terrace River Kings delivered a commanding 5-2 win against the Kitimat Ice Demons on Nov. 9 at Tamitik Arena, thanks to a dominant third-period performance.
Both teams remained scoreless in the opening period, but the second frame saw action with powerplay goals on both sides. Colton Braid put Terrace ahead at 06:53 before Lucas Aiken responded for Kitimat at 13:00, leaving the teams tied going into the third.
Terrace surged in the final period. Ryan Roseboom regained the lead at 01:11, with Mason Richey extending the advantage just over a minute later. Although Tayden Fowler-McNab narrowed the gap for Kitimat at 06:50, Terrace's offence proved relentless. Richey struck again at 09:26, and Jakob McLean sealed the victory with a goal at 15:00.
League standings are tight at the top, with the Quesnel Kangaroos and Hazelton Wolverines tied at 11 points each, though Quesnel has played two fewer games. The Terrace River Kings are close behind with 10 points from six games, having won five. Further down, Kitimat Ice Demons have five points, followed by Smithers Steelheads with four, and Nechako Northstars, who sit at the bottom with two points from seven games.
