Howling winds knocked out power across the San Francisco Bay Area on Tuesday afternoon as an area of low pressure spun offshore.
King said that the worst of the winds were likely over for the Bay Area, but gusty conditions are expected to continue into the evening.
As of 3:30 p.m., there were 29,329 outages in San Mateo County, 30,527 in Santa Clara County, 24,368 in Santa Cruz County, and 23,449 outages in Alameda County, according toPG&E didn't immediately respond to a request for the latest outage numbers.
