Summerside’s city budget for active transportation may allow cyclists to ride safer

On March 12, the City of Summerside announced its 2024 budget which includes funding to expand its active transportation route across part of Pope Road.

However, a dedicated active transportation lane will greatly improve safety, so he was pleased to hear the city's announcement. According to Trenholm, the active transportation lane beginning on Pope Road to Central Street will make people with mobility issues feel much safer.
