No injuries following Jan 29 fire on Central Street
A house under renovation in Summerside sustained minor damage after a Jan. 29 fire.SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — A Summerside house sustained minor damage following a Jan. 29 fire.
At around 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, the Summerside Fire Department received a call for a structure fire near the north end of Central Street.“They had a wood furnace in the basement and there was some fire extended into the floor joists and up into the walls on the first floor,” said Fire Chief Ron Enman.The blaze was contained to one cavity. Despite charring in the wall, the structure itself remains intact.
