Residents should expect longer than usual wait times at the landfill for now. The site will remain open, but the scale will not be in operation
According to a release from the City of Greater Sudbury, residents should expect longer than usual wait times at the landfill until further notice. The site will remain open, but the scale will not be in operation.
Because of this, all chargeable loads will be assessed tipping fees based on flat rates for “When Weigh Scales Are Not In Operation” as outlined in Schedule G&I-2 of the User Fee By-law, found here. Residents may visit one of the other landfill or transfer stations within the city, view the live camera feed at the Sudbury landfill site to see how busy it is before making the trip and check the scale status update at www.greatersudbury.
