The region has seen seven COVID-related deaths since the beginning of November
Public Health Sudbury & Districts revealed Monday that one new COVID-related death has occurred in the Sudbury health jurisdiction since last Wednesday. PHSD did not report any statistics on Friday, which was Remembrance Day.
The death reported in Monday's daily summary was said to have occurred in the rural Sudbury district, and while COVID-19 contributed to the death, it was not deemed as the underlying cause of death. PHSD also reported there were 10 active outbreaks in the local jurisdiction Monday, occurring in local long-term care homes, retirement homes and other congregate settings.
