The RNC contacted other 24-hour gas bars in St. John's and conducted extra patrols after 3 were robbed early Saturday morning. Shortly after, a man matching the suspect's description, Gofrey Orach, was arrested in the parking lot of another gas station.

Responding officers were told that a man had entered the business with a weapon while demanding cash. The man fled the scene before police arrival with an undisclosed amount of cash. Similar to the first robbery, police said a man went into the business, took out a weapon and demanded cash before leaving the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.
The suspect in the robberies was described as a Black man, standing about five feet 10 inches tall, wearing sunglasses, a dark coat, hat and jeans. In some instances, the man was said to be wearing a surgical face mask.
