Squires, from Charlottetown, scored a highlight-reel breakaway goal 1:18 into the extra period to lift the Eagles to a 3-2 win over the Charlottetown Islanders on the final day of regular-season play in the 2023-24 Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League campaign.The Eagles, who edged the Islanders 4-3 on March 22, completed the regular season in fourth place in the Eastern Conference at 38-26-1-2 and will face the fifth-place Rimouski Oceanic in the opening round of the playoffs.
