Prince George wins battle of BCHL Kings at Showcase in Seattle
Prince George native Scott Cousins scored his second goal and fourth point of the game to put the Spruce Kings ahead with less than three minutes left and they held on to defeat the Powell River Kings 5-4 Wednesday at the BCHL Showcase in Seattle.Lucas Veilleux opened the scoring with his first BCHL goal and Cousins connected later in the opening period to Prince George an early 2-0 lead. Kazumo Sasaki scored the other Spruce Kings goal in the second period. Makow also had two assists.
The Spruce Kings return to the Kraken Community Iceplex Thursday at 4:50 p.m. to face the Nanaimo Clippers.
