BATHURST, N.B. — The Serious Incident Response Team is investigating after a Bathurst man sustained a serious injury during a police operation in 2022.

On July 23, a Bathurst Police Force officer was dispatched distress call at a residence. On the scene, an altercation occurred between a man and the officer, resulting in the man sustaining a broken arm during his arrest. The matter was referred to SiRT for investigation by a member of the public on March 22, 2024.
