Dallas County Sheriff Marian Brown said there is “no indication” shots were fired at the Dallas County Health and Human Services building after a report of an active shooter Thursday afternoon caused the building to go into lockdown and led to a large law enforcement response.
“This is what we’re trained for and we have to do it the same way every time because you never know when it might happen again,” she said.Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Jasmyn Carter said a woman on the fifth floor of the building “thought shots were heard” a floor below her.
