. Violent crimes per 100,000 population are also down. Almost every single graph shows a significant and consistent dip in the numbers. So, overall, there are fewer crimes of all kinds being reported, and it would statistically suggest a safer Nova Scotia and Canada.
And maybe that shouldn’t be a surprise. We’ve just come through one of the most exhaustive and draining times of our generation. Dealing with the pandemic has etched permanent scars in our mental and emotional coping abilities.
