Friends and colleagues pay tribute to the the longtime NDP member and MPP from 1990-1995
Friends and colleagues are paying tribute to longtime Sudbury MPP Sharon Murdock, who passed away July 9. She was 78.
In their posts, her fellow NDP members remember Murdock as a staunch defender and promoter of women’s rights, of Northern Ontario and of Sudbury. Her LinkedIn page notes that Murdock carried 12 pieces of legislation through to third reading during her time as the city’s MPP. In extending her condolences to Murdock’s family, Gélinas remembered her as a dedicated New Democrat who will be deeply missed.
