It may be bittersweet to see the fun go down while live theater productions are canceled around the globe, but it’s also a reminder of why we yearn for these collective cultural experiences. As another member explains: FLS is about “finding the joy in the things we know how to do and turning them into a show.”
“A lot of the people in Freestyle Love Supreme are shaping what the American theater looks like now,” co-creator and Anthony Veneziale says at another point. It’s that sort of uplifting reminder that so many around the globe are in search of right now.
