ScotRail will be bringing back 700 services next week 🙌
This comes weeks after a temporary timetable was enforced, which led to travel disruption for many. Since May, a reduced timetable was put into place to tackle the shortage of drivers while Aslef union members and ScotRail discussed a pay rise and working conditions.
“It has been a very challenging few months, impacting those across the country who rely on rail travel and on our staff too. "We've been relying on drivers working overtime or on their rest days to run a normal timetable, as the pandemic meant that training new drivers was significantly delayed. Without covid and that impact on training, we would have trained around an extra 130 drivers today.
