“We have a deal, and I believe we’ll pass it today,” Schumer said. Negotiators were close to a deal but were still finalizing the agreement, a Republican aide said Tuesday morning.
Mr. Schumer said he expected the Senate would be able to pass the relief bill later Tuesday, when the chamber was expected to come into session briefly.
