Residents are getting out and enjoying the sunny weather and the spring activities like baseball and flowers blooming are on full display.The King’s-Edgehill Highlanders recognized Aidan Myette, left, and Spencer Johnson on seniors’ night May 21 in Kentville. The graduating players received bats that said, “Once a Highlander, always a Highlander.” The seniors then went out and led the team to a 9-3 victory over the Kentville Wildcats junior team.
Cpl. Christopher M. Wade, of Bridgetown, receives his King Charles III Coronation Medal from Nova Scotia Lt.-Gov. Arthur LeBlanc during a ceremony in Halifax on May 6. “His Majesty has dedicated his life to the service of people throughout the Commonwealth, championing youth, environmental stewardship, Crown-Indigenous relations and service provided by those in uniform," LeBlanc said in a news release.
