The 14 youth had their passions on full display during the opening ceremonies with science fair-style displays. “I am so excited for where the Annapolis Valley is going,” said Yorke, a Kentville town councillor. “We are so fortunate to have kids who are as passionate, as creative and as talented as the people in that room.”Lucas Whitehead, a 17-year-old Falmouth resident, performed Brooks and Dunn’s My Next Broken Heart and Chris Stapleton’s You Should Probably Leave while Wolfville’s Carmen Peng showed her passion for the piano.
