‘Unauthorized individuals’ have been posing as the event’s organizers on social media
The Downtown Sudbury Business Improvement Area said there have been recent incidents involving unauthorized individuals posing as organizers of the Downtown Sudbury Holiday Market on social media platforms.authenticity of all participants, said a press release.
The organization said that all official communications, including announcements and updates related to the Holiday Market, will be disseminated solely through the official Downtown Sudbury BIA page on social media platforms and the Downtown Sudbury website event page. The organization also reminds people to verify the authenticity of posts and accounts, exercise caution if posts contain spelling errors, poor grammar or inconsistent information and to check the legitimacy of website links.
