The forward produced for the Sharks in a small sample size to close the season.
Jacob Peterson will stay with the San Jose Sharks on a one-year contract after an impressive 12-game audition last season, the team announced on Friday. The Sharks have yet to disclose the value of the contract.— San Jose Sharks Peterson arrived in California in a seemingly nondescript depth swap, trading places with fellow 2017 draft pick Scott Reedy, who went to the Dallas Stars in the trade on March 3. While Reedy stayed in the AHL, Peterson got a chance with the Sharks and ran with it.
“Jacob is a smart, versatile young forward that fit in well with our group last season,” Grier said. “We’re looking forward to having him back and building upon that start.”
