A ‘brutal briefing campaign’ against his former special adviser Carrie Johnson is rooted in misogyny, Sajid Javid has said.
The health secretary insisted Mrs Johnson has no formal role in the government and the way she is being treated is ‘sexist’ and ‘just wrong’., Mr Javid said: ‘It is sexist. I think the partner’s of politicians should be off limits.
‘Why would you attack the partners, by all means go after the politicians.
