Ryan Huska\u0027s elevation to head coach of the Calgary Flames has been widely reported over the last few days and is to be made official today.

Previously, the 47-year-old was also the head coach of the Flames’ farm club for a four-season stint from 2014-18 and helped guide the development of current Flames regulars Rasmus Andersson, Oliver Kylington and Andrew Mangiapane, as well as a handful of other NHLers currently playing for other organizations.
Huska also served as the head coach of the Kelowna Rockets, leading the team to the Memorial Cup final in 2009 after they won the WHL crown.
