Summary At Doctor Who's first visit to San Diego Comic-Con, showrunner Russell T Davies is already opening up about the upcoming season 15. The past season introduced Ncuti Gatwa as the Fifteenth Doctor and Ruby Sunday as his companion. Unfortunately for the Doctor, Ruby left his side after discovering her biological parents in season 15's final episode.
In an interview with Variety, Davies spoke about how the Doctor and Ruby have been progressing since the season finale. He explained that next season will reintroduce the characters, and the show will even debut a new companion, played by Varada Sethu . Davies believes that it will help reestablish both characters by offering a new setting and new dynamics. Check out his full quote below:
