Rescue operator starts preparing Chippewa Park site for eagles

THUNDER BAY — After wading through paperwork for seven months, Jenn Salo now holds the keys to the former Chippewa Park wildlife exhibit.

At the time, she said there was a desperate need to relocate the operation which saw her take in more than 150 raptors from across Northwestern Ontario since 2017. Moving her operation there will allow Salo to accept eagles, which she has previously had to send to rescue operations in Southern Ontario because she didn't have the necessary 100-foot flight pens.
