NBA teams are reportedly expecting guidelines from the league office around June 1 that would allow franchises to start recalling players who have left their markets, as well as expand workouts with those who stayed.

The NBA allowed organizations to re-open their training facilities on May 8, with many cautious guidelines aimed at preventing the spread of the novel coronavirus. The Associated Press reported then that players would have to wear face masks inside facilities except when working out, and that any staff members present would have to wear face masks and gloves.

Only one player has been allowed in facilities at a time, and any strength and conditioning activities were prohibited if they require players and staff to be within 12 feet of each other. The NBA led the way for other leagues when it suspended activities on March 11, after Utah Jazz centre Rudy Gobert tested positive for COVID-19.
