Returning for a brief stint in the fourth quarter, a taped-up Beverley eventually left the game for good with just over eight minutes left to play. The 31-year-old has been an important part of the Clippers’ defensive identity this season, providing value in his ability to hound other guards and even successfully switch onto larger players for short periods of time.
Beverley is averaging 8.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.4 steals on 41.3 per-cent shooting and has started in all 29 games he’s appeared in.
