Come July, the website will be going dark, as they’ve reportedly reached an agreement to sell to the Washington Capitals ., who was first to report the news, the Capitals and CapFriendly have reached an agreement and likely around July 5, the website will be shutting down complete operations.

According to the report, there were several teams who had agreements in place to use CapFriendly’s advanced tools and Application Programming Interface , however there were multiple teams who had received notification that their accessibility rights would be changing, which led to the growing speculation one NHL franchise was purchasing the entire website.
