ST. JOHN'S, N.L. — It’s not the ECHL or the AHL, but there will be hockey regularly played at the Mary Brown’s Centre next season.
At the Mary Brown’s Centre, not only will the team play out of a bigger venue, but the ice surface is bigger as well. “We are really excited about it, and we're interested to see how it does,” said SJJHL president Jim Haire. The Mary Brown’s Centre lost its regular hockey game when the Growlers were unceremoniously dropped from the ECHL earlier this year with just six games left in their season.
