Coastal Renaissance is out for repair, return date uncertain
With Coastal Renaissance out for repair, four regular sailings from Nanaimo’s Duke Point to Tsawwassen will be suspended until after the Labour Day weekend.
Queen of Coquitlam, which usually provides service between Nanaimo’s Departure Bay, West Vancouver’s Horseshoe Bay, and the Sunshine Coast, will fill in a relief vessel on Tuesdays and Wednesday until Aug. 30. B.C. Ferries said it does not have a service-return date for Coastal Renaissance as they have yet to identify the precise nature of the repairs needed.Built in 2007, Coastal Renaissance is part of the Coastal-class ferries.
