For area residents seeking relief from the heat over the next couple of days by taking a dip in a river or stream, please be careful.
Creston RCMP were called to the waterway on Wednesday after receiving a call that two swimmers had been caught by high, fast moving water and swept into rapids.
Creston Fire Rescue, Canyon-Lister Fire Rescue and Search and Rescue were deployed to assist the Mounties.They were treated at the scene by BC Ambulance Service before being taken to hospital for assessment. Creston RCMP says it has engaged its local Victim Services Unit to assist the swimmers and their families.
