With the National Hockey League season about to start up in just under 10 days, Frank Seravalli and Tyler Yaremchuk discuss the frustration around Anaheim Ducks’ restricted free agents, Trevor Zegras and Jamie Drysdale and why the club has not been able to lock either up to a new contract.With opening night under 10 days away, there are a handful of talented players who are not on the ice with their clubs in training camp.
But there’s mounting and growing frustration, and one thing I like about Zegras is he’s not just incredibly dynamic and creative on the ice, but off the ice, he’s not afraid either. This is a guy with two consecutive 60-point seasons, who’s only 21 and has a lot of room to continue to grow in the NHL. He’s thinking he needs to be paid like a big-time NHL player, and he’s on that track, and to this point, the Ducks aren’t bringing that to the table.
