Delisle, who was represented in the courtroom by lawyer Jon Noonan, is scheduled to make his next court appearance on the charges at the end of the month. Human trafficking is happening in this province, an RCMP spokeswoman told SaltWire Network Tuesday afternoon. Delisle’s arrest involved RCMP and Royal Newfoundland Constabulary investigators.
In 2018, a provincial court judge in St. John’s sentenced Delisle to 15 months in prison for his role in a “bold and calculated” theft that involved renting a furnished condo in the Rabbittown neighbourhood, signing a lease under a fake name, then cleaning out the apartment’s contents and shipping it to Quebec City.
