David Quirke, 20, and Lorraine Obed, 29, were among the accused arraigned in Newfoundland and Labrador Supreme Court Monday morning. They are each charged with second-degree murder. Lorraine Obed, 29, and David Quirke, 20, were among the accused arraigned in Newfoundland and Labrador Supreme Court Monday morning. They are each charged with second-degree murder. Each pleaded not guilty and chose a trial by jury. Obed appeared by video from the women’s correctional facility in Clarenville, where she is being held in connection with the death of 49-year-old Jimmy Corcoran on Carter’s Hill, Aug. 19, 2021.
