Charlottetown Islanders • Special to The GuardianCHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Five first-period goals sparked the Val-d’Or Foreurs to a 6-3 victory over the Charlottetown Islanders in a Quebec Major Junior Hockey League game on Nov. 25.
Nathan Drapeau , William Provost , Alexandre Guy and Alexandre Doucet scored for the Foreurs, who are 13-11-2-0 . Zachael Turgeon and Matis Ouellet had multiple-assist efforts before 2,487 fans at Eastlink Centre. Lucas Romeo , Jérémie Biakabutuka and Giovanni Morneau countered for the Islanders , who scored the only two goals of the middle frame to go into the second intermission down 5-2. Michael Horth , Jonah Jelley and Isaac Vos added helpers.Winning goaltender Adam Rouleau stopped 33 of 36. Charlottetown starter Jack Flanagan gave up five goals on seven shots in 17:25 of action, and Franky Lapenna came on in relief and stopped 16 of 17 shots the rest of the way.
