According to information shared with school district officials, the scores will now be published on Friday instead of Tuesday as was indicated inIn a statement that went out on Monday afternoon to school districts, a Department of Education official advised the delay was prompted by requests from school leaders who asked for more time to review their 2021 assessment data for accuracy before it was published.
In his letter to those leaders, Ortega cautioned that lower than usual student participation rates in last year’s test taking make it challenging to discern whether the results are a true picture of student performance.Mark DiRocco, executive director of the Pennsylvania Association of School Administrators, also urged policymakers, educators and members of the public not to read too much into last year’s state test results.
