The provincial and federal governments have announced $94 million to bring high-speed internet to over 36,000 Newfoundland and Labrador homes. StockST. JOHN'S, N.L. — The provincial and federal governments have announced joint funding of up to $94 million to bring high-speed internet access to over 350 communities throughout the province.
The money is earmarked to help Bell and Xplore expand high-speed internet to over 36,000 homes in rural, remote and Indigenous communities, provincial officials said in a release. The funding is part of an existing agreement between the provincial and federal governments.
